Three dead after two trucks and car collide near NSW-Queensland border

Three people have died in a horror crash in far north NSW this morning.

The tragic accident, involving a fuel-tanker, a pantek truck with a trailer, and a car, occurred just after 6.00am on the Newell Highway at Boggabilla.

Police say the two occupants of the car, believed to be women, died at the scene.

The driver of the pantek, a man, also died at the scene.

All three are yet to be formally identified.

The male driver of the fuel tanker was treated by paramedics before being taken to Gundawindi Hospital.

A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing.
