Three earthquakes rattle WA Goldfields

Perth residents have felt the affects of a series of earthquakes that shook Western Australia’s Goldfields on Saturday night.

Three tremors hit near Norseman between 1.30pm and 2am (AWST), the largest of which was a magnitude 5.2 quake that was even noticed in the capital city.

The first measured 4.9 magnitude and was about 6kms under the surface.

The second and largest (5.2) happened about an hour later and was followed up by a 3.2 magnitude tremor.

There were no reports of any major damage or injury.
