Three escape second storey unit blaze, Gold Coast

Three people have escaped serious injury after a house fire on the Gold Coast early this morning.

Emergency services were called to Coolgarie Street in Elanora around 5.30am, where a fire had broken out on the second level of a unit.

Three fire trucks took around 20 minutes to get the blaze under control, with the flames completely extinguished by 6.00am.

Paramedics assessed three people at the scene, but luckily they’re all in stable conditions and don’t require further treatment in hospital.

Fire investigators have been called, with the cause of the blaze still unknown.
