Three Gold Coasters injured in alleged wounding, assault overnight

Three men have been injured in separate assault or wounding incidents on the Gold Coast overnight.

Emergency services were first called to a home in Pimpama around 7.15 pm, following reports of an alleged wounding.

They found a man of unconfirmed age had suffered a head injury and took him to hospital for further treatment.

He’s believed to be in a stable condition at the Gold Coast University Hospital.

Later on in the night, paramedics were called to an alleged assault in Biggera Waters.

Two men are understood to have become involved in an altercation near the intersection of Oxley Drive and Brisbane Road around 10.30 pm.

One man, aged in his 50s, suffered injuries to his head, chest and neck and had to be taken to hospital for treatment.

He’s in a stable condition at the Gold Coast University Hospital.

The other man, aged in his 30s, suffered facial injuries but did not require further treatment.

Police are yet to say whether or not they’re investigating either instance.
