The bus was travelling west along Epping Road at North Ryde when it lost control just before midday.

Police said the bus left the road, mounted the kerb and travelled through the front yard of one home before smashing through a second and coming to rest inside a third.

Two women in one of the homes suffered minor injuries and were taken to Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital.

A man who was in one of the other houses also suffered minor injuries but did not require transport.

Photos and video from the scene uploaded to social media show significant damage to both homes.

Police a short time ago confirmed no passengers were on the bus at the time.
