Three injured after car smashes through shopping centre entrance in Victoria

THREE people have been taken to hospital after a car smashed through the foyer of a shopping centre southwest of Melbourne.

The incident happened at the Moorabook Street entrance to the Westfield shopping centre in Geelong just before 11am on Thursday.

It’s understood a vehicle struck two pedestrians before ploughing through the glass sliding doors.


The two pedestrians, believed to be elderly, were stretchered into waiting ambulances and taken to hospital.

The driver of the car, also believed to be elderly, was also taken to hospital.

All three are said to have escaped serious injury and are believed to be in stable conditions.
