Three injured in horror stabbing attack in northern NSW

A man has been arrested after three men were allegedly stabbed on the NSW Far North Coast this afternoon.

Emergency crews were called Campbell Crescent at Goonellabah around 2.30pm on Friday, following reports three were suffering stab wounds to their backs.

The trio, aged in their 20s, 30s and 40s, were treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Lismore Base Hospital.

NSW Police said the men remain in stable conditions.

A 31-year-old man was taken into custody nearby and has been taken to Lismore police station for questioning.

A crime scene has been established, as officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
