Three killed in horrific head-on crash on Qld highway
There were horrific scenes in north Queensland overnight, with three men killed in a head-on crash near Charters Towers.
It happened on the Flinders Highway at Black Jack, around 20kms west of Charters Towers, around 6.30pm.
Police say initial investigations suggest two four-wheel-drives were travelling in opposite directions along the highway when they collided head-on.
It’s understood the impact of the crash caused both vehicles to erupt into flames.
Three men, whose ages are not known, died instantly at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
