Three men charged over armed hold-up in Sydney lift

Three men will face court on Monday, charged over the alleged robbery of a man in Sydney’s inner west.

It was about 3.40pm on Sunday that a 46-year-old man got into a lift in a building on Morehead Street, Waterloo.  Three men were already inside.

The man was allegedly head-butted by one of the men before another went through his pockets.

He told police the men took his cash, mobile phone, and cigarettes before leaving.

Police from Redfern Local Area Command attended the scene and, shortly before 8pm, three men were arrested.

They were taken to Redfern Police Station where they were charged.

A 35-year-old man has been charged with robbery in company, and breach of bail.

A 25-year-old man has been charged with robbery in company, and revocation of a parole warrant.

A 31-year-old man has been charged with robbery in company.

All were refused bail and remanded to appear in Parramatta Bail Court on Monday.
