Three more people charged over Surfers Paradise stabbing murder

UPDATE @ 3.30PM | A third man charged with the murder of a young father in the middle of Surfers Paradise has been remanded in custody.

27-year-old Raymond Harris was allegedly stabbed after being ‘hunted down’ by a group known to him on Wednesday night.

Kyle Jake Webb, 24, did not appear in Southport Magistrates Court when his case was mentioned briefly this afternoon.


Webb is also facing three charges of assault.

He will remain behind bars with his case adjourned until October 15.

A 32-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman are still to appear on charges of being an accessory after the fact of murder.

EARLIER @ 6.45AM | Three more people have now been charged, over the stabbing death of a young father in Surfers Paradise on Wednesday night.

27-year-old Raymond Harris died after allegedly being stabbed in the torso during a confrontation between two groups in Cavill Ave around 9pm on Wednesday night.

Two men were arrested a short time later and were charged with murder and three counts of assault.

18-year-old Jye Sebastian Webb-Italia and 21-year-old Jarod James Miller were remanded in custody after fronting Southport Magistrates Court yesterday.

Late yesterday afternoon two more men; a 24-year-old and a 32-year-old were arrested.

Police have now charged them both, along with a 19-year-old woman.

The 24-year-old man, from Surfers Paradise, has been charged with one count of murder and three counts of assault.

While the 32-year-old man, from Rocklea, and the 19-year-old woman, from Surfers Paradise, have both been charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

All three will front Southport court today.
