Three motorcyclists rushed to hospital after separate crashes on same GC road

THREE motorcyclists have been rushed to hospital after two separate crashes on the same Gold Coast road this morning.

The first accident happened just after 4.30am at the intersection of Swan Road and Yawalpah Road at Pimpama.

A man, whose age is not known, is understood to have fallen off his bike.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to Gold Coast University hospital in a serious condition.

Just three hours later, on the same road at Pimpama, a truck and motorbike collided.

The driver of the bike, as well as his male passenger, were treated by paramedics for lower limb and leg injuries.

They have since been taken to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed the driver of the truck refused transport to hospital.
