Three dead after ‘domestic-related’ shooting at Qld home

UPDATE @ 11.15am: Three people are dead following a domestic-related shooting at a home on Queensland’s Fraser Coast this morning.

Just after 6.40am, emergency crews raced to a home on Riverheads Road at Booral following reports of shots fired.

Police have since confirmed that a 50-year-old woman was found at the home.

A 68-year-old woman and 79-year-old man were rushed to hospital in a critical condition, however they have since died.

Police say the deaths of the two women are being treated as suspicious while the death of the 79-year-old man is non-suspicious.

A firearm has been located and a crime scene has been established at the home.

EARLIER @ 9.00am: Two women are dead and a man is fighting for his life following a horror, domestic related shooting at a home on Queensland’s Fraser Coast this morning.

Just after 6.40am, emergency crews raced to a home on Riverheads Road at Booral following reports of shots fired.

Police have since confirmed that two women, aged 50 and 68, have died while a 79-year-old man remains in a critical condition in hospital.

Officers say initial investigations indicate the incident was domestic-related with no one else believed to be involved.

A firearm has been located and police have established a crime scene at the home.

EARLIER @ 8.00am: Three people are in a critical condition following a shooting at a home on Queensland’s Fraser Coast this morning.

A police spokesperson said officers raced to a home at Booral around 6.45am after receiving reports of shots fired.

Police confirmed three people are in a critical condition following a “domestic-related shooting”.

Two have been rushed to Hervey Bay Hospital.

Booral is a small town with a population of just 1,449 people.
