Three people hospitalised following two Gold Coast crashes

Gold Coast paramedics were kept busy last night, called out to two separate crashes on the northern Gold Coast.

Crews first rushed to an incident in Oxenford around 6.20 pm, where two cars had collided on the Hope Island northbound exit from the M1.

Two people were assessed at the scene, one requiring further treatment in the hospital.

They’re understood to be in a stable condition at the Gold Coast University Hospital.

A short time later, crews were then called to Labrador following reports of another crash.

It happened at the intersection of Musgrave Avenue and Kumbari Avenue just after 6.30 pm.

It’s understood that two cars crashed before one then hit a power pole.

Three people were assessed at the scene, with two suffering chest and back injuries.

Paramedics took them to the hospital in stable conditions, while the third person chose to get themselves to hospital.
