Three-vehicle crash halts traffic on Gold Coast’s M1

1:00 PM | TRAFFIC remains banked up on the Pacific Motorway following an earlier accident at Oxenford.

It’s understood two cars and a truck came to grief in the southbound lanes between exits 57 and 60 around midday.

The prang triggered extensive delays, with queues still stretching for six kilometres at the time of writing.

The traffic is only now slowly beginning to move through the area again. Motorists are urged to be patient.

12:30 PM | A MULTI-vehicle crash has brought traffic to a standstill on the Pacific Motorway at Oxenford.

It happened in the southbound lanes between Oxenford (Exit 57) and Helensvale North (Exit 60) around midday.

It’s understood three vehicles have been involved, including a truck and two cars.

Emergency services are on the scene, working to clear the wreckage.

Thankfully, at this stage, there have been no reports of any serious injuries.

Motorists heading south through the area are experiencing heavy delays.

At 12.30pm, traffic was backed up for four kilometres, with cars bumper-to-bumper back to Dreamworld.
