The foster-father of slain schoolgirl Tiahleigh Palmer has been formally ordered to stand trial for her murder.
Rick Thorburn was initially charged with murdering the 12-year-old in September 2016.
She was found on the banks of the Pimpama river on the Gold Coast in November 2015, six days after going missing while in the care of the Thorburn family.

Thorburn was indicted on two offences in the Brisbane Supreme Court this morning and will stay behind bars until the case returns to court on February 16, 2018.
The court heard the long adjournment was needed for the case as the defence was investigating a number of issues.
