Tialeigh Palmer’s foster brother reportedly bashed in prison
The foster brother of murdered schoolgirl Tialeigh Palmer, Trent Thorburn, has reportedly been bashed in prison.
The 19-year-old has been in custody at Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre for a week now, after he was charged with incest and perjury.
Thorburn was set upon and bashed twice, according to the Courier Mail, in the high-risk area where he is being kept.
Queensland Ambulance Service have confirmed they responded to a call at the prison around 3pm, but will not confirm any other details.
Trent’s father Rick is also in custody, after been charged with the murder of 12-year-old Tialeigh last October.
Police will allege that he killed his foster daughter over fears she may be pregnant with Trent’s son.
His wife Julene and other son Josh have been also charged with perjury and perverting the course of justice.
