Tiffany Taylor: Police search bush at Fernvale for Logan teen’s body

Police investigating the suspected murder of Logan teenager Tiffany Taylor have searched a location of interest in Fernvale, however have found no trace of the teen.

The search, which covered dense bushland near Banks Creek Road on Saturday, was sparked following a tip-off from a member of the public.

“Following a public appeal on July 13 investigators received information from the public which prompted a search of bushland near Banks Creek Road,” police said in a statement.

“Logan detectives and police search co-ordinators from Rosewood and Lowood Police co-ordinated approximately 40 Search and Rescue Officers from the State Emergency Service in a detailed search of the area, often in difficult terrain.”

Despite the search efforts, so far no evidence of interest has been found.

The 16-year-old, who was five months pregnant, was last seen leaving a motel on Loganlea Road around 10am on Sunday, July 12, 2015.

A 60-year-old Annerley man has since been charged with her murder, however her body has never been found.

Investigators are continuing to appeal to the public for information that may lead to the location of the Tiffany’s remains.
