Titans make a move on South Sydney star
The Gold Coast Titans have begun the process of trying to recruit Chris McQueen to the club.
According to reports, the Titans met earlier this week to discuss their salary cap and if they were capable of bringing the South Sydney star to the Gold Coast.
It’s believed talks are underway with McQueen’s management.
McQueen returned to Rabbitohs training this week but, with the Rabbitohs signing Sam Burgess, it’s believed the club needs to shed some players in order to fit their marquee recruit on their books.
It comes after Titans coach Neil Henry revealed last week he was keeping a close eye on the financial situation at the Redfern club.
While the Titans are keen on bringing the 28-year-old north as soon as 2016, it remains to be seen whether the Rabbitohs would release the Queensland Origin representative from the final year of his contract.
