Titans ready to bounce back against Raiders

TITANS Co-Captain Greg Bird has recovered from the shoulder complaint that saw him leave the field during Sunday’s loss to the Tigers.

Bird has been named in a 17-man Gold Coast side to take on the Canberra Raiders at GIO Stadium on Sunday.

Coach John Cartwright has chosen a six-man bench, with Ryan James, who returned successfully from a shoulder injury for Tweed Heads on Sunday, and Ben Ridge included.

Mark Minichiello has also bounced back from a virus that flattened him last weekend.

While the fitness of five-eighth Aidan Sezer (quad) and hooker Beau Falloon (knee) will be monitored over coming days.

The only change to the 17 is in the centres where Brad Takairangi, elevated from Burleigh Bears where he has played the past two weeks, replaces Maurice Blair, who will play for the Tweed Heads Seagulls.
