Titans remain equal first despite loss to Penrith 14-12
THE iSelect Titans have gone down 14-12 to the Panthers away in a game that went down to the wire – in fact the last play of the match when Albert Kelly kicked dead in goal with a bomb to the right corner.
The Titans never led during the entire 80 minutes but a try to Aidan Sezer two and a half minutes from the end put them in the match as fans primed for a breathtaking finish.
Both sides scored two tries each and the match was decided on a penalty goal to Jamie Soward who was disallowed a try but was called back to kick at goal after Titans centre Brad Takairangi was correctly penalised for obstructing Jamal Idris after a Soward kick in the 50th minute.
