Titans shock NRL fans with victory over South Sydney

THE UPSETS of Round 17 continued in the NRL on Monday night with an understrength Titans outfit defeating the South Sydney Rabbitohs at ANZ Stadium.

Despite missing key stars like Nate Myles, Greg Bird, Dave Taylor, Aidan Seizer and Ashley Harrison, the Gold Coast fought to secure a 14-to point victory.

The win breaks a six game losing streak for the Titans but has cast huge questions over the premiership chances of South Sydney.

The Rabbitohs were without Greg Inglis and Ben Te’o who were both out with Origin duties.

The Titans were spurred on by the retun of Albert Kelly from injury and Paul Carter from suspension, who both put on stunning performaces for the side.

They’ll now be looking to continue their winning run when they take on the Canberra Raiders on Sunday July 13 at CBus Super Stadium.
