Titans take down Cowboys to snake their way up the ladder

THE Titans have managed to slip past the Cowboys to claim their third win of the NRL season, but may want to avoid the showers at CBus Super Stadium.

A one-metre brown snake was spotted on the field during the Gold Coast’s 13-12 victory last night.

Wide World of Sports reports, the reptile slithered onto the grass between the playing field and the stands in the south-east corner of the stadium 10 minutes into the first half, sending fans fleeing to higher ground.

The game continued despite the lethal intruder’s presence, with the snake eventually disappearing down a drain.

But the local boys remained focused to post their third win from four games and land in fourth spot on the league ladder.

Aiden Sezer made a triumphant return from a quad injury by sealing the win with a field goal in the 69th minute.

Titans pair Ashley Harrison and Paul Carter could find themselves in hot water with the judiciary after both targeted Cowboy Rory Kostjasyn, Harrison with a first-half shoulder charge and Carter for a dangerous tackle.

The boys now face a tough round 5 clash against the Storm in Melbourne on Sunday.
