Titans unable to give Cartwright a winning send-off

JOHN Cartwright was hoping for a winning send-off in last nights clash against the Sydney Roosters but the Titans just couldn’t topple the defending premiers.

The Roosters prevailed last night, raining on Cartwright’s parade, with a 26 to 18 victory.

The lead changed five times in the first half with the Titans leading 18-6 at the break.

The taste of victory didn’t hang around for long though, with an in-form James Maloney putting on a show stopping performance to lead Sydney to the win and a spot in the NRL’S top four.

Former assistant coach Neil Henry will now take over as Coach from Cartwright, as the Titans deal with another season without a finals berth.
