A toddler is fighting for life after nearly drowning in a backyard pool at Runaway Bay.
The boy was pulled from the water at a house on Pine Ridge Road just after 5.00pm yesterday.
He was treated at the scene by critical care paramedics and the High Acuity Response Unit.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said the child was then taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
The incident has again prompted authorities to issue a warning for parents and carers to keep a close eye on children around pools this Summer.
