Toddler flown to Melbourne hospital after savage dog attack

A LITTLE girl has been airlifted to hospital with severe facial injuries after she was attacked by a dog rural Victoria.

The child, who is believed to be aged between one and three, was reportedly bitten on the face at a property on Pain Killer Gully Road in the small town of Dunolly shortly after 7pm last night.

Paramedics assessed and stabilised the toddler at the scene before she was rushed to Bendigo Airport from where she was flown to the Royal Children’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.


The dog, which is not believed to have been owned the child’s family, has since been put down, according to 9 News.

The dog’s breed is not known.
