A TODDLER has been taken to hospital after being bitten by a spider on the Gold Coast this morning.
Just before 5.30am, paramedics were called to home at Pimpama following reports a young boy had been bitten by the creature.
The child was treated at the house before being taken to Gold Coast University Hospital.

Queensland Ambulance confirmed the youngster was transported in a stable condition. It’s not yet known what type of spider bit the child.
Meanwhile, a teenage boy was also hospitalised after being bitten by a spider at Heathwood yesterday.
It’s understood the teen was bitten earlier in the day and suffered a spider injury to his neck, Queensland Ambulance confirmed.
He was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a stable condition.
