A 20-MONTH-OLD girl has tragically died after being hit by a car in the driveway of a home in NSW overnight.
The little girl sustained life-threatening injuries when she was struck by a Holden Rodeo utility at a house in Taree about 5pm on Tuesday.
The toddler was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to Manning Rural Referral Hospital.

Despite the desperate efforts of doctors, she could not be saved and died of her injuries.
The driver of the ute, a 24-year-old man, was also taken to hospital for blood and urine testing.
A crime scene has since been established and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are underway.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
