A TODDLER is fighting to stay alive after almost drowning in a backyard pool southeast of Brisbane.
The little boy reportedly fell into the pool at a house on Bloomfield Street at Cleveland on Tuesday afternoon.
The toddler was unconscious when he was pulled from the water about 4.45pm.

Queensland Ambulance said the small child was successfully resuscitated by paramedics at the scene.
The boy was rushed by ambulance to Queensland’s Children’s Hospital under a police escort.
He remained their on Wednesday, in critical condition.
