Toddler revived after being found submerged in backyard swimming pool

A TODDLER has been revived after almost drowning at a house in Sydney’s southwest.

The incident happened at an address on Tempe Street near Greenacre shortly after midday on Thursday.

It’s understood the child, believed to be an 18-month-old girl, was found submerged in a large underground pool.

It is not yet clear how long the toddler was in the water before she was found.

NSW Ambulance confirmed the toddler resumed breathing at the scene before being rushed to hospital.

She was transported under a police escort to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a critical condition.
