A two-year-old girl has been rushed to hospital after being bitten by a dog in northern NSW.
The attack happened at a home in Sawtell just before 5.00pm on Thursday.
Police said the toddler was sitting on the verandah when she was bitten by the dog, suffering injuries near her eye and cheek.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus.
Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Officers are working with local council and are conducting inquiries into the incident.
