Toddler rushed to Gold Coast hospital with burns to face and body
A TODDLER has been rushed to hospital after sustaining burns from what is believed to have been a bowl of hot soup on the Gold Coast this afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to a location off Hooker Boulevard at Broadbeach Waters around 12.30pm, following reports a child had suffered burns.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said the youngster appears to have been scalded by a hot liquid, believed to be soup.
She was treated at the scene by paramedics for burns to her neck, face, chest and arm before being taken to Gold Coast University Hospital.
QAS said the child was transported in a stable condition.
