Toddler taken to hospital after being rescued from locked car in Qld

A toddler has been taken to hospital after being rescued from a locked car in Queensland this morning.

Emergency services raced to Wondai around 9.45am after receiving reports of a toddler in a car.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said Queensland Fire and Emergency crews successfully extricated the male child from the vehicle.


He was treated at the scene before being taken to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition.

The temperature in the rural town of Wondai at the time of the incident was 27 degrees.

It is not known how the child came to be locked in the vehicle.
