Two toddlers injured after falling 5m out of window

Two children are recovering after falling almost five metres from an Eastwood home overnight.

About 6.30pm emergency services were called to a two storey residence on Milton Ave after reports two children had fallen from a first floor bedroom window.

Initial inquiries have revealed the children were waving at neighbours before they overbalanced and fell .

The boys, aged four and two, landed on the roof of a rear carport which gave way. The children then landed on a washing machine being stored in the carport.

After being assessed on site by NSW Ambulance Paramedics, the boys were taken to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead for further treatment.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
