Tough day for Australia at Wimbeldon

Australia’s hopes in the singles draw of Wimbledon have bowed out at the All England Club with both Nick Kyrgios and Bernard Tomic losing their fourth round clashes.

Tomic was up against inexperienced Frenchman Lucas Pouille but it was the Gold Coast product’s lack of mental fortitude that saw his demise.

Tomic allowed Pouille to break back after establishing an early lead in each of the five sets before the Frenchman rebounded with a break of serve of his own.
