A TOURIST who attacked a Gold Coast bus driver in a fit of rage has walked from court without a recorded conviction.
John Michael Holmes, 46, claimed he became agitated after being stuck behind the bus in Surfers Paradise roadworks on May 7.
The Bulletin reports he then swerved in front of the bus, jumped on board and assaulted the driver with an elbow to the face.

The New South Wales man pleaded guilty to common assault in the Southport Magistrates Court this morning.
He was fined $800 without conviction and ordered to pay $200 compensation.
