A Gold Coast tradie has faced court over an accident on the M1 last year that claimed the life of a motorcyclist.
Brodie Troy Smith, 40, was allegedly driving his ute on the motorway in Nerang on November 2 when a ladder fell off the back and onto the roadway.
Craig Ward, 53, was riding his motorbike behind him and was forced to take evasive action to avoid the ladder.
