Gold Coast motorists are being warned of lane closures in Southport, as the final works of the Sundale Bridge and Waterways Drive upgrades take shape.
Lanes on the busy Sundale Bridge will be closed for three days from today through to Wednesday October 27, as constructon of a third northbound lane from Australia Fair to North Street ramps up.
A Gold Coast City Council spokesperson said motorists should try and avoid the area where possible, with “several closures in place”.

Marine Parade northbound will be reduced to one lane between Welch and Nind Streets form 7am Monday 25 October until 7am Wednesday 27 October.
Marine Parade southbound will be reduced to one lane between Welch and Nind Streets from 9.30am Tuesday 26 October until 7am Wednesday 27 October.
Nind Street will also be closed across the three days.
“There will be limited access to the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre and Broadwater Parklands and pedestrian access across Marine Parade at Nind Street will be closed,” the spokesperson said.
The new northbound lane is due to open on Monday 1 November.
