TRAFFIC: Ashmore accident causing delays
3.30PM: A child has been taken to hospital following a two car crash in Ashmore.
The accident happened on Southport-Nerang Road, near Central Park Ave, during the Monday afternoon school pick up.
It’s causing delays eastbound for those coming off the M1. Drivers are advised to take either exits 66 or 71 to avoid adding to the congestion.

QAS reports two adults and two children were assessed at the scene with a child taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
Their injuries are unknown at this stage.
There is also plenty of congestion on Ashmore Road this afternoon, heading west into the road work zone at Ross Street.
While the M1 is very heavy southbound from Mudgeeraba to Palm Beach.
