Traffic backed up for 25km on M1 after Nerang crash
POLICE are urging motorists to avoid the Pacific Motorway southbound between Coomera and Nerang following an earlier traffic crash.
It’s understood a car slammed into a guardrail in the southbound lanes of the M1 on the Nerang River Bridge.
Traffic is currently backed up for 25 kilometres. It’s understood at least one southbound lane has been closed.
Police say urgent repairs are being carried out on the bridge and have warned significant delays are expected to continue.
Motorists are being urged to seek alternate routes.
