UPDATE @ 2.30 PM | A driver has been taken to hospital after a tip truck rolled at a busy intersection on the Gold Coast this afternoon.
The crash happened on Smith Street, through the westbound lanes near the service station on Kumbari Avenue, just before 1.30pm.
The driver of the truck was treated at the scene by paramedics for minor injuries, before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

The accident caused traffic chaos, with heavy delays still being experienced at the moment.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area as the clean up continues.
EARLIER @ 1.30 PM | Motorists are being warned of heavy delays along Smith Street this afternoon, after a nasty truck crash.
It happened through the westbound lanes near the service station on Kumbari Avenue just before 1.30pm.
Paramedics have rushed to the scene, where they’re currently assessing one person.
The extent of their injuries is not yet known.
Queensland Traffic reports that all directions are now blocked because of the crash, with delays starting to build in all directions at that intersection.
Motorists are being warned to avoid the area if possible.
