A Melbourne suburb is in mourning after a mother and her three young children were found dead inside their home.
Emergency crews made the shock discovery around 12.20pm on Thursday, after being called to a property in Tullamarine.
Upon arrival, police and paramedics located the bodies of a 42-year-old woman and her three children, aged 7, 5, and three.

Acting Deputy Commissioner Robert Hill said a 48-year-old man, confirmed to be the children’s father and woman’s husband, made the triple-zero call.
He is currently assisting detectives with their investigation, but Acting Deputy Commissioner Hill said it would be “grossly unfair” to draw conclusions.
“There’s been a tragic event in metropolitan Melbourne,” he said.
“The loss of four lives, a mother and three children, is a tragic event. When it involves children, it is more heart-wrenching.”
Hill confirmed police were not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
“I must be very clear here and advise that at this point in time the investigation is at its very early stages,” he said.
“We know it involves a husband, a wife, and three children.
“The circumstance of this event are yet to be determined… We cannot afford to make any assumptions as to what occurred.”
A crime scene has been established at the home, with investigations ongoing.
