Train lines suspended after man struck and killed north of coast

GOLD Coast trains have been suspended in both directions after a man was struck and killed north of of the coast this afternoon.

At the request of police, both Beenleigh and Gold Coast line trains are suspended in both directions between Altandi and Kuraby stations.

Alex Bernhardt from Nine News reports police said the man had been ‘train surfing’ at the time he was struck.


Customers can expect delays of up to 60 minutes, with buses conveying passengers from Banoon station to Kuraby station.

In addition to a train will shuttle people between Banoon and Kuraby stations.
