Tram hits car on tracks at Broadbeach
TRAMS were delayed on the Gold Coast this morning following an incident on the tracks at Broadbeach.
It’s understood a tram clipped an SUV after the vehicle cut in front of it near Broadbeach South station.
It happened where Hooker Boulevard meets the Gold Coast highway, near Pacific Fair, about 10am.
The incident triggered slight delays on the light rail network, with services set back at least 15 minutes.
Thankfully though, no one was seriously injured in the accident.
