Trams suspended due to maintenance works

A number of Gold Coast tram services are suspended today due to a delay in rail works overnight.

G:Link services will not operate between Cavill Avenue and Broadbeach South stations until 6.00pm tonight.

Tram services will operate normally between Gold Coast University Hospital and Cavill Avenue stations.

Buses will replace trams in both directions, running every 10 minutes from the night bus stops located near the following tram stations:

  • Cypress Avenue station
  • Cavill Avenue station
  • Surfers Paradise station
  • Northcliffe station
  • Florida Gardens station
  • Broadbeach North station

GoldLinQ released a statement this morning, saying contractor McConnell Dowell is working to finalise works as soon as possible.

“We apologise for the disruption and thank passengers for their patience during completion of works and service resumption,” the statement read.
