It’s been revealed that the tragic death of a surfer in northern New South Wales over the weekend was a Gold Coast father of three.
48-year-old Anthony Karos, from Currumbin, was surfing at Minnie Water near Grafton on Sunday before coming into trouble in the water.
It’s understood his leg rope may have become trapped on a rock before the Westpac Rescue chopper was called in to winch him from the water.
