Trio charged after cops find stolen jewellery, meth in car
THREE people have been charged after police allegedly found a stash of drugs and stolen jewellery inside their vehicle at Belmont, in the NSW Hunter region.
Police say they stopped the vehicle in a car park adjacent to the Pacific Highway at around 4.45pm on Thursday.
After speaking with the occupants – two men, aged 25 and 22, and an 18-year-old woman – officers searched the car and allegedly located stolen property, including jewellery.
A quantity of Methylamphetamine was also allegedly found on the 25-year-old man.
Officers allege the items were stolen during two break-ins at homes in Kimarra Close, Kotora, and Main Road, Cardiff earlier in the day.
All three were arrested and charged with a range of offences, including possess prohibited drug, goods suspected stolen in/on premises and goods in personal custody suspected being stolen.
