Trio charged after man attacked in violent home invasion

THREE men have been arrested and charged over a violent home invasion in Sydney’s west.

The trio is accused of bursting into a unit on Weston Street at Rosehill and assaulting a 24-year-old man just after 11.15pm on Wednesday.

A woman who was inside the unit managed to escape and call police. Officers swooped on the street and arrested the three intruders at the scene.

The 24-year-old man was treated by paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

Police say the man’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The three intruders, aged 22, 26, and 27, were taken to Parramatta Police Station and each charged with aggravated break and enter to commit a serious indictable offence.

They were refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today.
