Trio on the run after robbing two Gold Coast chemists

Police are investigating after a group of men smashed through two chemists on the northern Gold Coast.

The trio was getting around in a Porsche – allegedly stolen from a home in Runaway Bay – before arriving at a business along Vaughan Drive in Ormeau around 4.00 am on Monday morning..

Police believe they used a trolley to smash into the business, before taking some drugs and getting away in the Porsche.

They then showed up at another chemist along Leo Graham Way in Oxenford, where they again used the trolley-smash method to gain entry.

They also took a number of drugs before getting away.

Anyone with information about either break-in is being urged to contact police.

While the black Porsche they were driving had the Queensland registration “NMAC”. If anyone’s seen it they’re also being urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.

I think this is a set up job, just to claim insurance. Most cars have a chip install in their keys. So without that chip, the engine won’t be able to staet.. now… what a Porche?? Ehmmmm interesting….

Jarrod, if you think it’s an insurance job, call Crimestoppers, 1800 333 000 and tell them what you know, not your name. Every piece of information helps.

All depends on the year model as a lot of cars don’t have Anti Theft.
