Trio seriously injured after being attacked by pack of dogs on suburban street

THREE people have been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being mauled by a pack of dogs on a suburban street in Newcastle this morning.

Police say the trio – two men and one woman – were standing in Wickham Street at New Lambton when about 10.30am they were approached and attacked by four dogs.

All three adults suffered serious puncture wounds to their hands and arms and have been rushed to Joh Hunter Hospital for treatment.


The dogs have been secured and police are liaising with local council ranges to decide their fate.

Investigations are ongoing.
