A driver’s being assessed on the northern Gold Coast, after his truck went up in flames along the M1.
It happened in the south bound lanes through Coomera just before 1.00pm, right near a Shell service station.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, with fire fighters reporting the truck was well involved by the time they arrived.

They took about 15 minutes to get the blaze under control.
Paramedics are still on scene now, assessing the driver – a man in his 50s.
He’s understood to have suffered smoke inhalation, but hasn’t been taken to hospital just yet.
At the time of writing, traffic was still flowing smoothly through the area.
